The mission of MAF Engineering PLLC is to provide the highest quality of Engineering Consulting Services to client manufacturers, in a timely and cost effective manner, that meet the most stringent Codes and Standards related to critical applications of equipment, systems and structures.
Because of the many unique designs of equipment supplied by manufacturers, and used in the Commercial Power Generation and Process industries, unique analysis methods are employed. In this regard, some of the following types of projects have had this goal and our mission statement, in perspective:
Performed design analyses of manufacturer's prototype ASME Code Section III, Class 1 pressure vessel components, demonstrating design adequacy, and allowing on time shipment.
Analyzed, and performed certification of, manufacturers prototype ASME Code Section III, Class 1 piping components used for sealing and sensing of an experimental pressurized loop for a research facility.
Performed 2-day turnaround for design analysis, and re-certification to ASME Code, of manufacturer's standby liquid control emergency valve, due to system pressure upgrade; thereby meeting schedule in record time.
Contracted by process equipment manufacturer to analyze, and perform certification to ASME Code of, existing non-ASME Code process plant heat exchanger design; this was done at minimal cost, to meet Code requirements.
Performed fatigue assessment and cumulative fatigue damage analysis of manufacturer's designed ASME Code pressure vessels, piping and supports for large process facility.
Contracted by manufacturer, which produced equipment for a process facility, to address their client's design concerns; through FEA and calculations, design adequacy was thoroughly demonstrated, thereby resolving concerns and resulting in expeditious contract completion.
Performed ASME Code Design Report for manufacturer's welded appurtenance vessel/electrical system; by applying unique ASME Code Case and analysis methods, allowance was established for site personnel to forego weld radiography, thereby allowing plant to go back online, at minimum cost, and within outage window time frame.
Contracted by process equipment manufacturer, on expedited basis, late in project; performed seismic qualification analysis of 19 heat exchanger designs, within a 2 week time frame, thus allowing on time shipment of heat exchangers to various process plant locations.
Contracted by manufacturer to perform independent review of ASME Code Design Analysis of ASME Class 1 equipment. Completed review, on expedited basis and at mimimum cost, which was to be used as design verification for equipment registration.
